First, you should combine the colours of the curtain and the rails. If you would like to have aluminium tracks, they should be matched with other metals in the room, such as metal legs, lamps, picture frames  or another bigger decoration. In case you have chosen a specific color scheme for your interior, chose a rail or track, which will complete it or will be contrasting it.
For a simple design choose neutral nuance. Or if there is already a specific color accent, you could take a neutral color track or rail and materials like wood, mat steel and aluminum so that they do not steal the show. Should you like simple, minimalistic style, you could take white color track or even ceiling in-built rail.
